Vikrant is CEO of Sphere India. He comes with 24 years of versatile professional experience having worked across sectors with Government, UN, NGOs, Corporates, Academia and Armed Forces. He is a passionate humanitarian and have been on the front line of most disasters in India and the region over nearly two decades. He also been very active on Global and national policy forums and represents on several inter agency forums and board of many organisations. He comes with a multi-disciplinary background in Engineering, Public Administration, Organisation Behaviour and Law. He is a Certified Project Management Professional from PMI, Black Belt Six Sigma, Master Trainer on CHS, Sphere and other such standards. He is an experienced facilitator for consensus building and is passionate about building multi stakeholder collaberations for larger impact.

Saikhom Kennedy

Mr. Saikhom Kennedy is a humanitarian and development professional with over 11 years of diverse program and operational experience, having facilitated the development and strengthening of Inter-Agency Groups by developing strategic partnerships with State Governments, Humanitarian agencies, and CBOs, in different states across India; and led Inter-Agency Coordination including coordinating Joint Rapid Need Assessments for more than 15 emergencies in India; supported development and revision of state and district disaster management plans among many other advocacy works. A globally accredited and certified trainer (TOT) for age and disability inclusion in humanitarian action & standards (ADCAP), Sphere, and CHS Standards, he has been supporting sectoral coordination for essential humanitarian sectors during emergencies. He has been leading Sphere India Operations for the last 3 years, which include monitoring various program implementations, ensuring donor reporting, and organisational compliances.

Nupur Tyagi

Nupur Tyagi, a seasoned professional with over 5 years of experience in architecture, urban planning, policy analysis and disaster resilience, currently serves as the Manager-Program Implementation at Sphere India, overseeing comprehensive project and program implementation across diverse verticals in the organization. Having previously led the Research and Development and Knowledge and Capacity Sharing Portfolio, she successfully executed multiple research projects, training programs and developed training modules. She is an Architect and holds a Master's degree in Planning (Urban Planning) from the School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi, and a PG Diploma in Urban Environment Management and Law from the National Law University, Delhi. Skilled in various technical tools, including AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Indesign and Microsoft Office, Nupur is a proficient professional with expertise in documentation, strategic planning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication.

Utkarsh Dwivedi
Manager- Inter Agency Coordination

Utkarsh Dwivedi is currently the Deputy Manager of Advocacy and Information Management at Sphere India, a national coalition of Indian humanitarian organizations. He holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the Faculty of Architecture and Planning in Lucknow and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Amity University in Uttar Pradesh. At Sphere India, Utkarsh has developed tools to enhance joint humanitarian responses, including Inter-Agency coordination tools like 3W maps and GIS maps for the Northeast Refugee situation. He has also contributed to developing assessment and monitoring tools, collecting and analyzing data for Post Distribution Monitoring and Multi-Sectoral Joint Needs Assessments. Utkarsh has led data collection and analysis for several Joint Rapid Needs Assessments (JRNAs), including the 2023 Manipur Crisis, Biparjoy cyclone, Michaung Cyclone, Remal Cyclone etc.. Over the past 1.5 years, he has significantly contributed to research, assessments, data analysis, and documentation at Sphere India and led the coordination of the Shelter and Urban Resilience Committee, including revising the Handbook for Multisectoral Coordination for Emergency Preparedness and Response in the Shelter Sector.

Sanchita Biswas
Deputy Manager- Knowledge and Capacity Sharing

Sanchita Biswas is a disaster management professional with expertise in community resilience, emergency response, and capacity building. She currently serves as the Deputy Manager – Knowledge and Capacity Sharing at Sphere India. Previously, she worked as a Young Professional in the GIDRR Division at the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), Ministry of Home Affairs, contributing to research, training modules, and field-based DRR programs. She holds a Master’s in Disaster Management from Panjab University and a Bachelor’s in Geography from Delhi University. Her fieldwork includes GIS mapping of heritage sites, and disaster response during the 2023 Himachal Pradesh floods. She is committed to inclusive, community-driven disaster risk reduction and has collaborated with grassroots organizations and institutions on resilience-building initiatives

Vishnu P
Program Coordinator, Inter Agency Coordination,

Vishnu P is a committed humanitarian and disaster management professional currently serving as Program Coordinator at Sphere India. He brings hands-on experience in coordinating multi-agency disaster responses, including during the Wayanad landslide, Cyclone Remal, and Manipur violence. Vishnu has led Joint Rapid Needs Assessments (JRNA) and developed key reports, including situation reports and the India Disaster Report. He plays a vital role in capacity building through consultations and Sphere India Academy sessions. His coordination with SDMAs and NGOs has strengthened state and district-level preparedness and response. He has also been instrumental in establishing GO-NGO coordination desks and IAG Control Rooms. Vishnu holds an MSc in Disaster Management from Pondicherry University and a BSc in Physics. He has technical expertise in GIS, Kobo Toolbox, and crisis monitoring systems. Passionate about inclusive and resilient systems, he continues to support evidence-based humanitarian action across India..

Krupa Lakshme M
Program Associate, Collaborative Advocacy

Ms. Krupalakshme M. is a public health professional with a strong commitment to disaster risk reduction and climate resilience. She began her journey with Sphere India as an intern and currently works as a Program Associate – Collaborative Advocacy, with nearly one year of experience in the humanitarian and disaster governance space, in addition to over two years in the healthcare sector.
At Sphere India, she supports communications, stakeholder engagement, and sector coordination across Health and Protection. She is also actively involved in the development of policy briefs, monthly knowledge bulletins, and facilitates dialogues related to Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP), along with contributing to inclusive and anticipatory action-focused sectoral guidelines.
Gursimran Singh

Gursimran Singh is a disaster management and climate resilience professional with expertise in risk assessment, emergency preparedness, and community-based adaptation. Currently working as a Program Associate at Sphere India, he supports national-level initiatives on climate change adaptation, heatwave preparedness, and inclusive disaster risk governance. He holds a Master’s degree in Disaster Management and another in Social Work, combining academic depth with practical experience from the grassroots to policy level. Gursimran has trained disaster volunteers, developed local disaster management plans, and contributed to climate-health integration efforts across India. His previous roles with MGSIPA, Times of India, and DDMA Himachal Pradesh highlight his leadership in capacity building, documentation, and field coordination. Skilled in ArcGIS, risk mapping, and bilingual communication, he is committed to empowering vulnerable communities and promoting inclusive resilience strategies. Gursimran continues to work towards building a safer, climate-resilient future through evidence-based action and collaborative engagement.
